The Boston Comics in Color Festival (BCICF) is a family-friendly event for all ages focusing on creators of color and stories by and about people of color. This event will take place in person on April 20, 2024 from 10am to 5pm at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center on the campus of Roxbury Community College. A first-of-its-kind-event on the Boston scene, BCICF includes an event headliner, special guest speakers, panel discussions with working artist and writers, workshops, and live art demos, as well as an artist alley for comic creators to share and sell their books, materials, artwork.

Spotlighting the History Makers & Pioneers who have shaped community, culture & change. Hear from the trailblazing artist, activist and survivors who have made history and created spaces by defying social norms towards freedom and community. Black. documents the history of Boston’s Black Queer & Trans defiance and possibility. 

#HellaBlack Vol 6: Sacred — curated by Amanda Shea — asks the performing artists to embody and present what makes them feel grounded in their creation. The artists will showcase how this sense of safety, security, and secrecy influences their artistic expression.

Now in its 6th year, #HellaBlack is an interdisciplinary performance event curated by and for Black artists, to amplify the depth of Black artistry, and shine a bright light on the talent of Boston’s Black artists and their communities. This event is meant to create a safe space for the Black community to celebrate intersections of Blackness through dance, art, spoken word, and music, to dispel the myth of Blackness as a monolith. This annual signature event is part of a commitment to move towards race equity at BCA.

The PWR of WMN Summit is more than just an event—it’s a dynamic platform for conversation, connection, and growth.

At the summit, attendees will experience an in-person journey filled with networking opportunities, inspiring speakers, and a delicious brunch. We aim to ignite, educate, motivate, and celebrate all who attend, creating a space where female leadership thrives and equitable opportunities abound.
